Mixing incompatible coatings is one of the quickest ways to waste a maintenance budget. A topcoat that does not suit the primer underneath will lift and peel, and the crew’s chipping and priming work is lost. We work from brand, product name and color code. If the exact product is not available locally, we propose a compatible alternative from the same coating family and show it as a separate line for approval.

Tins are packed on pallets with paint and thinners clearly labeled for the paint locker. Safety data sheets are available on request for the vessel’s records.
Some terminals limit deliveries of flammable liquids. We confirm acceptance with your agent and the terminal before dispatch, and suggest an alternative delivery point if needed.
Paints and two-pack coatings have a limited shelf life. We supply recent production batches wherever possible and can advise on storage temperatures, so the coatings are still in good condition when the crew opens them weeks later.
For major maintenance campaigns, send the plan early. Larger quantities and special colors may need extra lead time.
An inspection finding on corroded steel or missing safety markings may need a quick touch-up before sailing. Mark the requisition URGENT, include the product details, ETD and port, and we will tell you quickly what can realistically be sourced and delivered before departure. Requisitions can be sent through our form at any time, and urgent requests are prioritized by ETD.
Where a full repaint is not possible before sailing, we can supply touch-up kits so the crew can treat the affected areas and complete the work at sea.
Ships managed from Greece, Germany, Norway, Japan, Singapore or China usually follow a fleet coating specification from one of the major marine paint makers. We work by email across time zones and quote against that specification, so technical departments abroad can approve quickly.
Where a product is sold under a different name or pack size in the United States, we explain the equivalent clearly on the quotation, so the crew receives the right coating in the right quantity.
Before a scheduled dry-docking, many owners want the crew to complete topside and deck work at sea so the yard can focus on the underwater hull. We can supply the coatings and tools for that pre-docking work at the vessel’s last U.S. port, matched to the specification the yard will follow.
